It’s a new year, and we’ve got lots of exciting things happening in 2026 at Hearing Auckland. We’re expanding our community partnerships, working with more hearing aid brands, upskilling our staff and more. Keep reading to find out what’s happening in 2026 at Hearing Auckland!
Community Partnerships
Hearing Auckland is a charity. Our clinic is operated by Tamaki Makaurau Hearing Trust, and our mission is to ensure all kiwis can access good hearing. We are proud to work with iwi and community groups to help increase access to hearing services. In 2026 we’re excited to continue our existing community partnerships and to be developing new ones. We are excited about continuing to work with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and Te Puea Memorial Marae in Auckland, and Te Hiku Hauora health clinic in Kaitaia. We’re excited about extending our relationship with Ngāti Tamaoho Trust in 2026.
If your iwi, marae, or other community group would like to talk with our team about hearing services, please get in touch. We can visit community Hauora and fair days for hearing screening. We also offer ongoing support for community members identified with hearing loss.
In 2026, Hearing Auckland will continue serving the community with accessible and independent hearing services.
Hearing Aid Brands
As an independent clinic, Hearing Auckland offer hearing aids for purchase from all of the leading brands. 2026 at Hearing Auckland will see us continue to have no affiliations with one brand over another, so you can count on us to provide trustworthy, independent recommendations. We work with all major hearing aid brands in New Zealand:
We are also able to supply assisted listening devices through our NZ-based supplier Reid Technology.
Part of ensuring all kiwis can access good hearing means offering reliable hearing aids. We recommend hearing aids based on budget, lifestyle, hearing loss, and style preference; rather than brand affiliations.
If you’ve been looking for independent hearing advice, get in touch! Hearing Auckland have been your local independent hearing clinic for almost 100 years.
Staff Training
We are excited to be working with the Australasian college of Audiometry to upskill some of our staff and community partners in 2026. Our first cohort have begun their online studies at the start of the year. The “Hearing Services Assistant” course is available online through Tamaki Makaurau Hearing Trust and the Australasian College of Audiometry. This program was designed by our audiologists in collaboration with AuCA to upskill existing health clinic staff to also offer support to clients with hearing aids. This exciting new training program will help to make hearing care more accessible, and community partnerships more sustainable.
Clinic Hours
Our clinic is fully open, with all of our staff back from their Summer break. If you’re in need of ear wax micro-suction or an appointment with the audiologist, get in touch! Justine, Vivien, and Mani are all ready to see their returning and new clients.
Get in touch with us via phone call or email if you’d like to discuss anything you read about in this blog post. You can also book online if you’d like to make an appointment.
We’ll see you in 2026 at Hearing Auckland!
